Masala Maggie

Maggie now thats something everybody loves and know how to prepare one. Then why to post something everybody knows.

My friends at my institute really appreciate the maggie that BTW I take for lunch almost everyday, so I thought why not post the recipe that I follow. It really doesn't take 2mins like the add says, so if you are ready to spend more than 2mins preparing this dish, I bet your kids are gone start eating some vegetables :)

Ingredients:

  1. Maggie : 1 pack
  2. Magggie Masala: 1 (included in the pack)
  3. Onion: 1 medium thinly sliced
  4. Green Chilli: 1-2 finely chopped (you can skip this if preparing for kids)
  5. Tomato: 1 medium finely chopped
  6. Mixed vegetable:1 cup (carrot, pea, brocoli, cauliflower, beans, basically its your choice.)
  7. Egg: 1whole (optional)
  8. Turmeric powder: 1/2tsp
  9. Red Chilli Powder: 1/2tsp
  10. Oil: 1tsp
  11. Salt: 1/2 tsp
  12. Hot Water: 1 cup

Procedure:

In a pan heat half of the oil.
Beat egg along with little salt and pepper. Pour the beaten egg into the pan and prepare scrambled eggs. Once the eggs are done remove from heat.
In another pan heat rest of the oil.
Add chopped onion and green chilli and a pinch of salts. Let it cook for a min or so till the onions are little sweaty.
Add the chopped tomatoes, red chilli powder, turmeric powder, maggie masala and rest of the salt and cook till the tomatoes are mushy.
Add the chopped vegetables cover and cook till the veggies are cooked through.
While the vegetables are cooking in a saucepan cook the maggie noodles in 1 cup of water till almost done(use little more water if required.)
Add the scrambled eggs to the vegetables.
Add the cooked noodles into the pan  with vegetable masal. Mix well and cook for another minute or so till all the water is dry.

For variations try cooked shredded chicken. If I am in a hurry I skip on the mixed veggies and just stick to onion and tomatoes and it works out pretty well. Vegetarians can skip the scrambled eggs.

Enjoy this yummy maggie dish with your family and kids and do let me know.

till then happy blogging
